Who we are
Sparkie Sidekick operates this site. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Account information — if you sign up, your email address and any profile details you choose to add (name, trade role, experience, preferences). Authentication is handled by our provider (Supabase).
- Saved activity — bookmarks, recently-viewed faults, and your settings. Some of this is stored locally in your browser; account-linked data is stored with our provider.
- Information you send us — e.g. if you email us or report content.
We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not knowingly collect more than the above. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to make the site work — for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your theme and saved items. We do not use them for advertising or cross-site tracking.
How we use your information
- to provide your account and saved content;
- to operate, secure and improve the site;
- to respond to your messages; and
- to meet legal obligations.
We will only send you marketing emails if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time. (Marketing email is not currently sent.)
Storage, security and overseas handling
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure. Our authentication and database provider may store data on servers outside Australia — confirm the region and any cross-border disclosure obligations as part of legal review.
Your choices and access
You can view and edit your profile, and delete your account, from your account settings. You can clear locally-saved activity from your browser. You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting us.
