Maximum Demand — Load Schedule & Assessment Tool

A load-schedule and assessment aid — not an automated AS/NZS 3000 calculator. It does the bookkeeping (per-phase totals, imbalance, motor physics, comparisons) while the responsibility for diversity, measurements and limitation stays where the rules put it: with you.

What it does

  • Build a per-phase load schedule and see how every line contributes
  • Apply your own assessed diversity — recorded as YOUR assessment
  • Use a recorded maximum-demand measurement or a current-limiting arrangement
  • Derive motor input current from output kW, efficiency and power factor (physics)

What it deliberately won't do yet

  • Automatic AS/NZS 3000 Appendix C diversity — disabled until licensed table data is supplied and independently verified

The rating suggestion satisfies In ≥ maximum demand ONLY — device type, trip curve, short-circuit rating, coordination and cable protection are not assessed, and a main switch (isolation) is not automatically a protective device. The mains link carries this demand into the cable-sizing tool, where the capacity and voltage-drop checks (and its data warnings) apply.

Warnings

  • Phase imbalance is 100% — unbalanced single-phase load raises neutral current; check neutral sizing and re-balance if practical (threshold 20% is a heuristic, not a Standards limit).

  • Schedule kW/kVA totals are BEFORE spare capacity and use each load's entered power factor; mixed-pf arithmetic sums magnitudes (no vector addition).
  • Diversity factors and rule choices in this schedule are the user's assessment — they have not been verified against an AS/NZS 3000 demand table.
